Describe the bug

After upgrade from 10.6.4 to 10.7.0-rc2, I'm unable to playback any file. The logs show ffmpeg is not found correctly.

System (please complete the following information):

  • OS: CentOS Linux release 7.9.2009
  • Virtualization: None
  • Clients: Browser
  • Browser: Chrome 87.0.4280.88
  • Jellyfin Version:10.7.0-rc2
  • Playback: Not sure here. What can I look at and tell?
  • Installed Plugins: None
  • Reverse Proxy: None
  • Base URL: None
  • Networking: Host
  • Storage: local

To Reproduce

  1. Go to home page in browser
  2. Under "Next Up" section, I click play for the show listed.
  3. See error

Expected behavior

I expect the video to play as it did in 10.6.4

I forgot to mention that ffmpeg is installed on the server and worked on JF 10.6.4.

# /usr/bin/ffmpeg -version

Looks to be mediaEncoder line 106.

ValidateVersion returns false, even though it's a warning, and passes that value back to mediaEncoder which then looks elsewhere for another version. On finding neither the logic assumes one doesn't exist, rather than an un-recommended one exists.
